However, my peer-reviewed self-care flourished living model suggests that putting your physical, psychological, social, and spiritual health first, leads to flourishing in your career and family relationships.”

“I’m sharing this with you because many believe putting yourself first is selfish. Putting yourself first is counterintuitive. Many of you put your lives on the line every day for others because you are givers. Some sacrifice their health, wellness, and family relationships to discover they wish they would have done things differently later in life.
You would not put your spouse or child in a car that had severely unbalanced tires because you know the journey would be difficult, inefficient, and potentially dangerous. Similarly, you should not journey through your life with unbalanced areas in your health and wellness because of the negative consequences that will eventually cause harm.

“Therefore, putting your self-care first is one of the best ways you can give to others. Remember, you cannot pour from an empty cup; you must fill your cup first. When you effectively manage your physical, psychological, social, and spiritual wellness, you are laying a foundation to build a sustainable, flourishing career and rewarding family relationships.
Work-life balance matters because you matter! It matters to you, your family, co-workers, and your community. Cruising through your journey in life with balance is a proven method of becoming the best version of yourself.
