I.

“I often think our behaviors operate within three buckets. These buckets are named Order, Disorder, and Reorder.

When our actions align with our priorities in life, we are reaping the rewards of living with simplicity in the Orderly bucket. When our actions are out of alignment with our priorities in life, we are being managed by the complexities in life and living in the Disorderly bucket. When we say, I’ve had enough of this Disorderly bucket crap and decide to take action, we are living in the Reorder bucket.”

“Keeping things simple in life is inherently powerful. For example, research suggests that married couples who simply continue to date on a regular basis experience better communication, are happier, and are more intimate with each other. Who doesn’t want that?

Fathers who spend time with their children, tells them that he is proud of them and that he loves them will help set their children up for success. These children will experience greater feelings of self-esteem, self-worth, and confidence in managing the complexities of growing up.

Eating a balanced diet, exercising regularly, getting adequate sleep, laughing with a friend, and taking time to pray are simple, proven, orderly actions to manage your self-care and well-being effectively.

“When we feel we don’t have enough time or energy to date our spouse, express love to our children, or manage our self-care, we are probably living in the Disorderly bucket.

When we allow the complexities in life to control our behaviors, our loved ones and we will experience adverse effects. When we say ‘enough is enough’, we experience the need to reorder our priorities and align our behaviors. The simplest way to get back into living within the Orderly bucket is to get back to the basics. This might consist of dating your spouse, loving your children, and managing the basics of self-care effectively.”
